Plateau State NIPR pays courtesy call to CMD Plateau State Hospital Management Board
Members of the Plateau State Chapter NIPR, Governing Council Retreat and Meeting LOC headed by Nde Yakubu Gomos,FNIPR paid a courtesy call on the CMD Plateau State Hospital Management Board Dr. Dakwak Yamma Dajan, MBBS,FWACS.
In his remark, leader of the delegation & COmmittee Chairman Nde Yakubu Gomos,FNIPR stated that the reason for the visit is to felicitate with the CMD and thank God for his recovery as well as seek ways of partnership and support of the Board towards the successful hosting of the Retreat by the Plateau State Chapter of NIPR.
PRO of the Plateau State Hospital Management Board, Mrs Christiana .L. Yilbial (ANIPR) who welcomed members of Plateau State NIPR to the board expressed excitement at the visit and stated that Plateau State Hospital board was compliant in the area of engaging the services of professionals.
In His remark the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Dakwak Dajan Stated that in line with the policies of the rescue administration of Governor Simon Bako Lalongs administration the board has undertaken many projects in the past 3+ years and is willing to partner with professional bodies like the NIPR. He promised to look into the request of the NIPR .

POSTPONEMENT OF MONTHLY CONGRESS
The Plateau State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) congratulates all Nigerians, especially the electorates on the Plateau for their peaceful conduct during the just concluded 2019 Presidential elections in the state. The NIPR is calling on all to sustain the same tempo during the forthcoming Governorship elections.
Consequently, the Plateau State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is hereby notifying it's members and the general public of the postponement of the February Congress of the NIPR scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 28th, 2019. This is to allow for the completion of the 2019 general elections exercise. A new date for the February Congress will be announced in due course.
We appreciate members for their understanding.

Plateau State Chapter of NIPR holds congress
The Congress which held at Commitee Room 1, Hill Station Hotel Jos on Thursday, 31st January 2019 was presided by the Vice Chairman Dr. Mrs Sarah Lwahas, ANIPR who welcomed all present to the first congress for the year and commended members for turning out in their numbers for the meeting
As regards training of Plateau State Local Government Information Officers, Chairman Training Committe Mrs. Ruth Abwo, MNIPR gave a report on the proposed training and said it will be put on hold as the Commission intends to embark on reshufflement before the training takes place.

Chairman, Governing Council Retreat and Meeting -Jos 2019, Nde Yakubu Gomos, FNIPR also gave an update on the position of his committee stressing that finance is the major problem holding back the committee. He appreciated the ITF, FCE Pankshin for the financial support received so far & said his committee will put more pressure on the Plateau State Government to redeem the approval by the Patron/Governor Lalong .
There was also a presentation titled GOOGLE DIGITAL SKILLS AFRICA (GDSA) by Fedinand Attah, a volunteer digital skills trainer for Haptics, a partner on the Google Digital Skills for Africa project in Nigeria.
